Abstract

The paper discusses the 3D printing technology and its impact on current industry practice. These are the advantages and the problems that must be solved to make this technology has become the new industry practices, as well as its impact on the development of materials for this technology with a special focus on metallic materials, respectively metal powders. It is given the basic features that should have metal powders that could be used for this technology.
