Abstract

The increase in energy prices in the world, then the realization of less dependence on energy imports, and in particular meeting the hierarchical concept of waste management as it is in the EU, including reducing emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG Greenhouse Gases) in accordance with the Framework Convention of the United Nations Convention on climate change (UNFCCC), and ultimately reducing environmental impacts and taking up space, are the key reasons for the application of research methods amount and composition of municipal waste in a podtručju that would serve to produce energy. The legal aspects, as well as cultural, economic and environmental effects are certainly the main reason for restricting the development of re-utilization of waste in energy purposes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
