Parameters which define environment conditions are largely qualified with influence of the Kostolac A and Kostolac B energy plants and surface mining of lignite. The air quality is examined continuously by measuring total deposited matter and the emissions of gases such as CO2, SO2, NOx, CO, O3. It is found that pollution substances significantly exceed the values determined by the law around energy plants Kostolac A and B, and in the dominant wind direction. In this paper we have analyzed the influence of the harmful gases emission for the various scenarios in this part of Serbia. We have used Gauss model for the evaluation of the gas matter dispersion and suspended particles, by determined values of the polluting matter emission and parameters related for the external environment. We have calculated surface concentrations of SO2, NOx and the suspended particles for different length from source of the emission.
