Abstract

The paper presents the results of a microstructural analysis of copper alloys produced in the Copper Mill Sevojno. The analyzed materials comprise high-purity copper (Cu-ETP and Cu-DHP) and a series of brass alloys with varying zinc content (CuZn10, CuZn15, CuZn28, CuZn30, CuZn33, CuZn37). Various thermomechanical treatments were conducted on the samples, including plastic deformation to varying degrees and annealing at different temperatures  to get material of different degrees of strength. [DC1] The structure and composition of the samples were examined using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). Vickers microhardness testing was also performed to assess mechanical properties and observe possible changes caused by thermomechanical processing. The obtained results offer valuable insights into the internal structure of alloys and the impact of processing conditions on their structural and mechanical properties."
