Abstract

The main characteristic of hydrotechnical cement, which is used to build massive structures, is the low heat of hydration. In this work is examined the effect of the electrofilter ash with a high content of calcium oxide addition on the hydration heat of Portland cement. The cement samples containing 0% to 50 % fly ash from TPP „Kakanj“ were used in this examination. Phisical and chemical characterization of elecetrofilter ash from TPP „Kakanj“ was performed, as well as chemical analysis of the prepared cement samples. The examination of cement hydration released heat after seven days of hydration was performed at the end.
