Abstract

Phase diagram of the Al-Sn-Ga ternary system was calculated using optimized thermodynamic
parameters for binary sub-systems based on CALPHAD method. Four vertical sections were
calculated: Ga0.5Sn0.5-Al, Al0.5Sn0.5-Ga, Al0.5Ga0.5-Sn, and Al0.9GaSn0.1-Ga. Calculated liquidus
projection of the Al-Sn-Ga ternary system and isothermal sections at 25, 100, 200 i 300 oC were also
presented. Comparison with available literature data was done, and good mutual agreement was
noticed.
